New Jersey has launched the Cannabis Training Academy (CTA), an online educational platform to support individuals interested in starting or managing a cannabis business.

This initiative, created by the New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC) with the support of the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC), is designed to guide aspiring and current business owners through the licensing and regulatory process.

The CTA offers free, self-paced courses that cover important topics such as licensing applications, municipal approvals, zoning regulations, raising capital, and business operations. It also provides support for converting conditional licenses into fully operational businesses.

Participants can access pre-recorded webinars and sign up for live virtual Q&A sessions with instructors. The program will also host in-person workshops in the future, making it flexible and accessible for a wide range of learners.

The first three modules are open to all New Jersey residents aged 21 and older who are interested in cannabis business development. Additional in-depth courses are available to those living in or planning to operate businesses in CRC-designated Impact Zones, as well as those planning to hire employees from these areas.

The Cannabis Training Academy aims to empower small business owners, create job opportunities, and promote economic growth in local communities. Interested individuals can visit the NJBAC website to learn more and register for the program.
